the side effects are not related to anything that you can filter out really. ethanol is not quite like standard gasoline. the fact that it is an alcohol changes the formula for the way that the engine runs. e85 can/will produce leaks in a system that is not designed for it. there will be a noticeable drop in power given its lower octane rating. if you ask me the 886 is a short term fix for a long term problem.
