Why is Kobe Bryant attempting more shot attempts than LeBron, Wade, Kevin Durant, Carmelo, ect?

Those guys except D-Wade are averaging more points than him, and yet he's tied with Monta Ellis for most FGA. What's even more absurd is that he has a much better cast of players to play with, and he still forced up bad shots.
