How powerful is Bono?

Nice selection of pics. He sheds light on different issues - and that is pretty powerful. He's been able to do a lot to bring attention to poverty and aids in Africa. Although the red campaign wasn't wildly successful, there was some revenue, which indicates that what he backs may have economic impact. So I'd say that he is fairly powerful, though I don't get from him that he intends to use that power to do anything except help people who don't have a voice.
