Can bronchitis cause swollen glands?

I have had an upper respiratory illness since Wednesday but just now have the appearance of some swollen glands (right side of my neck, the cervical nodes I think, the ones that are about 4 inches below the jaw on the neck beside the airways). Noticed some slight pain and soreness and some very moderate swelling. Freaked out and need some advice. No insurance so the doc will cost me so need to know when to go see one.
