I need help with my diet?

OK so I'm 6'1, 230 pounds and 15 years old. I kickbox and I workout at home. I'm not a fat because I don't look like one, people think I'm around 170-180. I still need to lose weight though, I have kickboxing two days a week, and I also have boxing two days a week, but I don't go to boxing because I don't like it and I like using my legs. I just need to know if I should eat LOTS of protein, since I'm trying to lose weight. I have alot of protein shakes, such as magnum quattro which is 60g of protein and only 1g of carbs. I understand that I need less carbs and more protein, but can my protein shake whenever I want since its all protein and basically no carbs at all?? and I'm also drinking 3-4 L of water, and should I never starve myself?? I need to know all of this, please help, I don't need anyone giving me websites to stupid things and like green tea and shyt like that, I need real help..please and thank you :)

How do I learn to stop dumbing myself down to make people like me?

I'm not stupid at all. I have a lot of academic awards, am shortlisted for a prestigious school title, am only 16 but have high hopes for the future. But for some reason, I subconsciously dumb myself down sometimes to get people to like me. I'm not talking about the odd blonde moment, because I am prone to them at times and find them amusing, but actually pretending not to know something or being less opinionated to get someone to like me. People have told me that they like my paradox of being intelligent and simultaneously clueless and find it endearing. Frankly, I'm just annoying myself. How can I learn to stop dumbing myself down to make people like me?
